The Founding Partner of Lex Arjava, Nirmal did his LL.B. from Calcutta University (1986) and LLM from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He began his career after enrolling as an advocate before the Bar Council of West Bengal in 1987 and initially joined his Father’s chamber in Calcutta High Court and subordinate courts. Subsequently, he moved to Solicitor firm Ghosh and Co.
Since then, he has been associated with various corporates viz. TCI Limited, Gati Limited and TCI Finance Limited, etc in the capacity of in-house counsel and in various locations viz. Calcutta, Bangalore, Bombay, Madras and Hyderabad. He subsequently assumed the position of Group General Counsel for Gati and Group Companies and extensively toured all major locations in those states in connection with legal matters. He is also a bar member of Telangana High Court and Supreme Court Bar Association. Having an experience of about three decades in both general corporate and litigation, he decided to embark on the new journey of setting up a law firm from the ground and taking it to new heights.
